The Saudi Automobile Association Co.(SATA) is an affiliate of the Saudi Automotive Services Co. (SASCO), established with the purpose of providing customs documents for vehicles departing from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in accordance with the 1954 UN convention on the temporary importation of private road vehicles, issuing international driving permits in accordance with the UN conventions of 1949 and 1968. SATA has been an active member of the Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT) and the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) since 1982. SATA motor sport division is keen to play an active role in organizing motor sport activities related to cars and motorcycles in coordination with the concerned authorities and obtaining necessary license and approval to allow organization of motor sport events in Saudi Arabia on a proper basis within the rules and regulations of the FIA.
